Saturday November 2 and Sunday November 3
NO BIKING!!
Onder Camp was a quiet haven, just us, and a dozen cats hanging about. It was also very inexpensive, a good time to figure out what the next part of our travels will look like. Based on the looks of the road ahead, we decided to take the bus from Kusadashi to Istanbul. This involved going to get the bus tickets at the terminal in advance. Historically buses have been bad for allowing bicycles, so I think I may have asked 5 or six times for assurances that our bikes would be accepted. I got to speak with the front desk staff, the manager, and even one of the drivers. Everyone says it's OK!
Sunday was a day spent route planning by Madalene, and bike cleaning/maintenance by Jenn. We also may have watched TV in our tent, for a while... a long while. Monday we would ride out to visit the Ephesus Ruins, and be back in time to pack up and catch the 2100hr bus to Istanbul.
