Day 39: Still at Glen Nevis Campground

Cycling: Negligable
Monday September 16

Lofty goals for today: catch up on the blog and avoid being blown away! But first we must eat, so off to Wetherspoon. I ask you, what breakfast restaurant runs out of English muffins and 30 min later, coffee, at 10am? Alas, it never seems to run out of internet access, and so there we were.

A stroll down the main drag, and a visit to the local mountain gear shops for sealskin waterproof socks, warm mitts, and pink knee high socks for Madalene. Wanting a change of scene, and perhaps an environment more conducive to accomplishing our goals, we head to the Fort William Library. Epic Fail. Smelly, no wi-fi, 30 minute internet slots, and snooty librarian. Lame. So, off we go to a local coffee shop, chill environment, shoddy wi-fi. Sad. Beginning to exhaust our internet access options, and feeling a bit homeless, we go back outside into the rain, put our hands in our pockets, and make our way to... Mcdonalds. Hmm.....seems you need an account for this one, and they send the password to your phone (we don't have a phone). Back to Wetherspoons we go. But the good news is it's late enough in the day to  order beer! Guinness it is. Key lessons were learned today. Stick with the internet access you know and trust. And, reduce file size of photos to save a lot of upload time! We published 12 days of blog posts.

Special feature:
Spiders, ear wigs, ticks, centipedes, worms, slugs, moths, wasps, midges, mosquito's all know when you arrive. So, seal your bags, zip the doors, sleep with your mouth closed, inspect yourself regularly, and never, never, put on your jacket (or shoes) without first making sure there isn't a centipede crawling across the brim of your hat in front of your eyes, or a daddy long legs crawling across your face in a dark tent while watching a movie.

All roads leads to Wetherspoons.

Its hard to ague to reliable free internet, cheap pints, and warm dry surrounding.
Because the outside reality looks something like this.
WHY?!?
